On October 4, 1990, the University of Extremadura inaugurated the 1990/1991 academic year at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration in Badajoz. The inaugural lecture was delivered by Professor Jaime Pérez-Llantada y Gutiérrez, Chair of Ecclesiastical Law and Canon Law at the Faculty of Law.
